Akron Law Review

Home

The Akron Law Review is a student-edited, scholarly legal publication that produces four issues annually: two general issues, an intellectual property issue, and a constitutional law issue.

The Akron Law Review consistently is ranked highly in the Washington and Lee Law Review Rankings. For five years (2013-2017), the Akron Law Review ranked in the top 67 for student-edited, general journals in the Washington and Lee Law Library law journal rankings for “impact factor” and in the top 72 for student-edited, general journals in the category of “combined score.”

While many Akron Law Review articles have a traditionally scholarly bent, the Law Review articles also have real-world impact. A 2012 issue of Ohio Lawyer reported that the Ohio Supreme Court has cited the Akron Law Review more times in the past decade than any other journal. See Jared Klaus, Law Reviews: An Undervalued Resource, 26 Ohio Lawyer, May/June 2012, at 28. The Law Review is proud of its commitment to publish outstanding scholarly research that is of value to our courts and practicing attorneys.
